The following rules govern all aspects of the Asalah Competition. All participants are expected to read, understand, and comply with these rules.
1. Registration
Participants must register through the official platform with a valid email address. Email confirmation is required to activate your account. Each individual may only register once. Teams are formed through the platform's team management feature.
2. Team Composition
Each team must have between 1 and 5 members. A team leader is designated at the time of team creation and is responsible for managing the team and finalizing submissions. Team members may only belong to one team per competition category.
3. Submission Requirements
Each submission must include: presentation boards (PDF or image format, max 10MB each), technical drawings (PDF or image format), and a project description. Supplementary materials may be uploaded but are not required. All files must be uploaded through the platform before the submission deadline.
4. Deadlines
Submission deadlines are published on the competition page and are strictly enforced. The platform will not accept submissions after the deadline. It is the team leader's responsibility to ensure timely submission. Draft submissions that are not finalized before the deadline will not be reviewed.
5. Review Process
All submissions undergo blind review. Jury members cannot see team identities during evaluation. Submissions are scored against published rubrics specific to each category. The review process consists of: initial review, shortlisting, and final judging.
6. Awards & Prizes
Awards are given in each competition category: Winner, Runner-up, and Special Recognition. Prize amounts are published on the competition page. Winners are announced through the platform and notified via email. A People's Choice Award may also be offered through public voting.
7. People's Choice Voting
Public voting is open during the designated voting period. One vote per email address is permitted. Votes must be confirmed via email to be counted. Any attempt to manipulate voting (multiple accounts, automated voting) will result in vote disqualification.
8. Disqualification
Entries may be disqualified for: plagiarism or intellectual property infringement, submitting work not created by the registered team, providing false registration information, violating the code of conduct, or attempting to manipulate the voting system.
